Plated Review March 15, 2014

I can't cook.  Thank goodness for Plated.  I have eaten extremely well the past two nights.  Last night my husband fixed meatloaf, brussels sprouts and potatoes.  Tonight we had chicken fricassee with gnocchi and artichokes.  Both meals were WONDERFUL!

If you aren't sure about Plated, sign up for their emails by clicking on this link https://www.plated.com/invites/acbe23.  Last weekend I got an email from them with an offer too good to pass up.  In the message was a coupon code for 4 free meals and 3 months free membership.  We only had to pay $20 shipping and handling.

I'm soooo glad I joined their mailing list and took advantage of this offer!

Meatloaf with Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes ~ This was my favorite of the two meals.  Since I can't cook, my husband fixed this.  He said it was extremely easy to prepare because the recipe card was so easy to follow.  The brussels sprouts tasted really, really, really good!  Mike followed all of the cooking times and everything turned out great.

This recipe card is very detailed and simple to follow.  I'm a visual person, so the pictures really help.  Both menus require very little in-house ingredients.  The cooking tips are also helpful.

Pre-portioned, fresh ingredients ~ this makes life good!  How convenient is this?  All items are also well labeled so there is no confusion.  Some of the packaging is reusable too.

I think the fresh ingredients bring out the exceptional flavor in the meals.  We've never roasted and fricasseed chicken before, but it was easy to do.  The chicken was tender and moist, unlike my usual dried-out fried chicken.  I feel like we've cooked restaurant quality meals at home!

Viola!  Chicken Fricassee with Gnocchi and Artichokes ~ I loved the fresh dill and gnocchi.  I've never had gnocchi before.  It was probably my favorite part of the menu.

They even sell gift cards.  This would make a unique wedding gift!  I'm definitely looking forward to future menus.  Kudos to the Plated chefs and team members!
