SporkPack Review July 2014

I just got my very first SporkPack box!  SporkPack is a subscription company that sends kitchen gadgets and treats each month.  I got a one-month subscription for $22.34, plus $6 shipping and handling.  The retail value of each box will be over $40.  The theme for July is "A Taste of Japan".  Inside the box were a variety of Japanese treats and two kitchen accessories.

Monthly Subscription Box

Hi-Chew
Hi-Chew Fruit Chews ~ These are individually wrapped Hi-Chew Fruit Chews in strawberry, apple, and grape.  I love Hi-Chews and usually get them in golden pineapple.  They are very chewy, juicy, and sweet.

Creme Brûlée KitKat
Creme Brûlée KitKat ~ Japan is known for creating unique, different flavors for candy and snacks.  I've tried strawberry KitKat candy bars, but not Creme Brûlée.  The instruction card says you can toast this KitKat for 2 min 30 sec for a Brûlée top.

Tohato Caramel Corn
Tohato Caramel Corn ~ These are sweet, airy snacks.  They are corn puff snacks in a caramel corn flavor.  If you enjoy snacks like these, you should check out Japanese candy subscription companies like Japanese Treats and OyatsuBox.  I have reviews of both on my blog.

Kotsubukko
Kotsubukko ~ These are crispy rice cracker snacks in a cute package.  The snacks are mildly soy flavored.  This would be good in between lunch and dinner.

Curry House Vegetable Curry with Chicken
Curry House Vegetable Curry with Chicken ~ This is a great lunch option because it heats up in 90 seconds.  I must admit it does not look good when you pour it out of the package, but it tastes wonderful!  I'd like this over white rice too.  The curry really boosts the flavor in this meal.

Collapsible Colander
Collapsible Colander ~ There are cute little smiley faces on this colander!  These are great because they collapse and save space in your cabinet.

SureSlice Spiral Slicer
SureSlice Spiral Slicer ~ This item is so neat!  It's perfect for those on a paleo diet, or who just want a different way to fix vegetables.  I'm going to slice some zucchini and make zoodles (zucchini noodles), which means I'll also need that colander to drain the zucchini.  This is a great alternative to pasta and is gluten free.  You can also slice potatoes, cucumbers, and carrots with this device.  I will be using the recipe from this blog: http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2014/05/27/basic-zucchini-noodles/

Subscription Boxes
SporkPack is ideal for anyone who likes to eat!  :-)   I think this is a great concept for a subscription box.  I love kitchen gadgets and enjoy trying new foods.  They do offer 3-month and 6-month subscriptions, which provide two money saving options.

What are your thoughts about this new company?
