Loot Crate Review September 2014

September's Loot Crate was themed 'Galactic' and was pretty much out of this world.  Loot Crate caters to nerds and geeks who appreciate a good video game, comic book, or sci fi movie.  It's less than $20 a month and is always a well planned box.
Loot Crate Magazine Issue 14 ~ Inside this issue we learn a little more about Firefly and Loot Crate's video short, The Verse.

Pop Rocks Candy ~ Tiny asteroids with a kick!  Pop Rocks are fun little candies that taste great and pop in your mouth.

Loot Crate Collectible Pin ~ Ripley, Darth, R2, and Malcom stare longingly at the Loot Crate.  Nice reenactment from The Empire Strikes Back.  The Han poster makes so much sense now.

Alien Re-Action Figure ~ This is from Funko and has five points of articulation.  I like Mr. Alien because he kinda looks like me on a bad day.

Firefly Bank Robbery Money ~ This is a pack of replica money from the show Firefly.  There are two denominations, one hundred and five hundred.  They're printed on high rag-content parchment and banded with the Alliance emblem.  Serenity graphic artist, Geoffrey Mandel created these bills.

Star Wars Exclusive Retro Arcade Magnet ~ I'll use this as a history lesson for my son.  It's amazing how far video games have come since the 80's.

Firefly Vinyl "Mal" Exclusive Action Figure ~ We got Malcom Reynolds, captain of the Serenity. The figure even has Nathan's great hair style.

Star Wars Poster ~ Just like Jabba, we can have our own "Man in Carbonite" to decorate our dwelling!  This poster is 9"x27" and comes from Lucasfilm Ltd.

Star Trek Tribble Exclusive Looter Edition ~ 'Galactic' wouldn't be complete without something from Star Trek.  As a child, I thought tribbles were the cutest things.  I get a kick out of the fact that my 10-year old daughter is scared of it because she thinks it looks like Chucky's hair.  Needless to say, Ryker and I have had a blast with this thing!

#LootCrate
Galactic was a great box from Loot Crate.  I'm now motivated to start watching Firefly - I feel like I've been missing out on something.  What future themes would you like to see from Loot Crate?
