Kawaii Box Review June 2014

I have been posting reviews of my daughter's Kawaii Box from Super Kawaii Pop.  After a few emails with the owner, I was supposed to receive the June Kawaii Box to review.  The Kawaii Box was undergoing some changes this month because of new management and I was going to blog about them and post a coupon code.  Unfortunately, I never received the box.  

I have sent a total of four emails to the owner, Krissy, and have NOT received any response.  I find this no way to operate a reputable business.  When I first started ordering this box, I knew I was taking a chance based on the Facebook comments.  There were so many negative comments, that the page was removed.  

A response like, "I've changed my mind about the box review" would have been nice to get.  That way I would have known to go ahead and purchase it.

What are your thoughts about this?  Do you know of any subscription boxes similar to this?  I'm still debating whether or not to buy next month's box.

Kawaii Box Review May 2014

There are always so many things in my daughter's KawaiiBox from Super Kawaii Pop!  This is such a fun, fun, fun box!  Super Kawaii Pop is an internet based business that brings Japanese Kawaii cuteness to people in the states.  

 Kawaii Eraser ~ Mistakes are fun to correct with cute erasers!  Perfect for little girls who work hard in school!

 Daiso Felt Sweets Kit ~ This is a felt craft kit from Daiso.  The finished product is a sweet little swiss roll!  This looks to be an easy craft Olivia can do.  We will save this for summer break in a few weeks.

 Macaroon Squishy ~ This month my daughter got a purple macaroon squishy.  Squishy collecting is her new hobby.  She really looks forward to the squishy every month!

Daiso Letter Set ~ This letter set features an adorable lamb based on a Sunday picnic theme.  The paper is lined.  Included are 6 stickers to decorate with.  The envelopes are VERY cute and will make  some recipient very happy.  

Daiso Fluffy Keychain ~ I want this.  This fluff ball is adorned with decorative beading and a keychain clasp.  I'm a little jealous of my daughter right now!  I don't know why, but it reminds me of the movie Clueless.

Daiso Polka Dot Pouch ~ I believe the Pokemon collection will be transferred to this pouch!  It zips shut to keep things secure.  It's made from a very soft, furry material.  The bow and pearl on the front give it an extra "pop"!

Popin Cookin' Waffle Cafe DIY Happy Kitchen Kit ~ We love to play with our food!  This is a waffle/candy kit by Kracie.  We're going to make two heart-shaped candy waffles with strawberry topping, blueberries, and whip cream.  These kits are so much fun!  The directions are in Japanese, but luckily there are YouTube videos explaining the process.  We like watching Emmy's videos.

The KawaiiBox ships around the 20th of each month from California.  The cost is $20, which includes shipping.  The owner, Krissy, is going to be changing some things and making improvements to the KawaiiBox.  I'm really excited to see these changes with June's box!

Kawaii Box Review April 2014

The Kawaii Box is my daughter's favorite subscription!  She loves this thoughtful, monthly package full of kawaii goodness!  It is $20 a month, shipping included.  Love the new stamp!

 Tissues ~ This is the cutest package of travel size tissues!

 Daiso Fish Pouch ~ This is a very pretty fish drawstring pouch.  My daughter keeps her Pokemon cards in the pouch and it is the perfect size for her!  She loves the design and has taken it everywhere with her.

 Daiso Craft Scissors ~ This is a small pair of craft scissors.  Its cute design makes crafting more fun!  The scissors have a rounded safety tip.

 Daiso Beaded Bear Craft ~ This looks a little challenging, but I'm sure it will be a fun project!  The kit contains everything necessary to make a cute little beaded bear.

 Macaroon Squishy ~ The squishy is still my daughter's favorite item in the Kawaiibox.  This month she received a macaroon with a string attachment.

 Popin' Cookin' Funny Cake House ~ We enjoyed this kit soooo much!  This is truly a unique candy experience from Japan.  After a few You Tube videos, my daughter was ready to make some candy.  It was a fun family activity and I'm so glad we got this!

I love how the Kawaiibox puts a smile on my daughter's face each month.  I even like a lot of the stuff.  We are still looking for a pen pal and can't wait to start using the stationery.  If you are interested in this box or kawaii stuff, check out the website www.superkawaiipop.com

Kawaii Box Review March 2014

My daughter was really looking forward to this month's KawaiiBox from Super Kawaii Pop.  Now that it's here, we both love it!  The sender always adds cute touches to the shipping box that makes it more personal.

KawaiiBox is full of cuteness!

 Daiso Japan Animal Bath Time Body Wash Mitten No Thumb Bear ($1.70) ~ I'll start off with this because we got this same item in last month's box.  Olivia was a little bummed about it, but now she has one to share with a friend.  Hopefully Super Kawaii Pop comes up with a way to record what is sent in each customer's box so this doesn't happen often.

Tissues ($1.70) ~ This was also in last month's box.  Tissues are definitely used around our house during allergy season.  I'm sure both packs will come in handy.  The packaging is so cute!

 Chocolate Pocky Sticks ($1.50) ~ This is a classic treat that everyone in our family loves.  This box is the chocolate flavored Pocky and is already gone!

 San-X Rilakkuma Deco Tape ($4) ~ Decorative tape is all the rage right now.  This roll features Rilakkuma in a relaxed theme.  We will have to find something crafty to do with this tape.  If you have any suggestions, please post them in the comments below.

 Daiso Champignon Letter Set ($3.95) ~ Champignon is the French word for mushroom.  This letter set is decorated with adorable mushrooms and is very bright.  There are 12 sheets of paper, 6 envelopes, and 1 sheet of envelope seals.  My daughter is looking for a pen pal and this will be perfect for her to use when she finds one!

 Daiso Side Dish Cups ($8) ~ These side cups are perfect for Bento boxes!  Four animals are featured on the cups: rabbit, bear, panda, and frog.  The rim says "let's play together"  There are 8 of each design.  I'm sure these will make Olivia's lunches much more enjoyable!

Jumbo Kapibarason Ice Cream Sandwich Squishy ($6) ~ This is the main attraction for my daughter.  She has fallen in love with squishies.  This is the Kapibarason chocolate flavored ice cream sandwich.  It is really big and fun to squeeze!

The approximate value of this box is $27.  I paid $20, with free shipping.  It is a good value and my daughter enjoys getting her own subscription box.  Our box also came with a ticket.  Super Kawaii Pop is going to post a video drawing on YouTube April 1st for a Pullip Doll.  You can really tell this small business owner loves her customers and enjoys creating these boxes.

We really look forward to  KawaiiBox because it is soooo cute and fun!  Next month is the Spring Box.  Can't wait to see what is inside!    

Kawaii Box Review ~ February 2014

My daughter received her first KawaiiBox from SuperKawaiiPop today.  This box comes from California and is full of kawaii surprises!  The cost is $20 (free shipping) payable through PayPal.  The box was decorated with Rilakkuma tape, stickers, and personal drawings.

Inside were 7 items and stickers!  We were able to track this shipment through PayPal.  Plus SuperKawaiiPop has a Facebook page and the owner posted when the boxes were mailed.  It was shipped via United States Postal Service and arrived to Kentucky in less than a week.

These stickers were packaged with the KawaiiBox business card.

This is a Kapabara San Squishy Pancake Ball Chain, ($4).  My daughter really wanted to get her hands on a squishy!  It's twice as cute because it is an animal AND looks like a pancake.

Here is a pack of 20 tissues, ($1.70).  This will fit nicely in the purse she got for Christmas.

This is a set of cute chopsticks, ($3).  The ends are decorated in a pink and yellow argyle pattern.  I can't wait to see her stab some food!

My daughter also got a package of Meiji Chocorooms, ($1.50).  They are mushroom shaped snacks made from crackers and a combination of milk & dark chocolate.  She was kind enough to share with the whole family.  The Chocorooms are awesome!

Now she can add Kawaii style to our bathtub with this body wash mitten.  It is a Daiso Japan Animal Bath Time Body Wash Mitten No Thumb Bear, ($1.70).  

Also in the box was a pink glitter eraser.  She can take this to school and get a smile when she has to erase her mistakes!

The final item was this Re-Ment Rilakkuma Homemade Blind Box!  The value is $13.  My daughter got number 7 in the series, which is a scale, baking sheet, and three baked items.  Now she wants to collect the rest!

My pre-teen loved her first KawaiiBox!  She really wanted a squishy and the Re-Ment, so thank you SuperKawaiiPop!  Kawaii is a new term around our house.  As I reflect on my daughter's choice in school supplies, toys, and clothes, I realize she definitely has a kawaii taste.  She is already asking for next month's box.  The items in the KawaiiBox may differ for each customer, but they are always kawaii themed.  Considering SuperKawaiiPop offers free shipping and this is a small business, I feel this box is a good value.  Keep in mind my prices are approximations.  My daughter is really intrigued with the Japanese writing on the products.

You can buy a three month subscription for $60 or a single box for $20.  This is not a recurring subscription service, so you do have to place your order either each month or every three months.  If interested, please check out SuperKawaiiPop!

Kawaii Monthly for My Daughter

I have spent several days watching "unboxing" videos on Youtube with my kids.  Needless to say, my subscription box addiction is making its way to my children.  Somehow we managed upon a video for a Kawaii subscription box.  This was my first experience with Kawaii - I had never heard of it before.  My daughter loved the box and begged for one.

An internet search turned up three subscription boxes for Kawaii items.  One comes from SuperKawaiiPop in California.  Another is from Kawaii Club International.  And the final one is from Kawaii Monthly in Japan.  All three offer items along the same theme, but there are some differences.  As I am learning about squishies and re-ment, I can't help but wonder what my daughter is going to do with this stuff.

SuperKawaiiPop is in her third month of offering a Kawaii subscription box.  Her website is http://superkawaiipop.com/blogs/news/10020189-kawaiibox   This is the box my daughter initially wanted, but she decided on another.  It is $20 a month with free shipping.  You can find unboxing videos on Youtube, specifically TheHollycopter channel.  Kawaiibox offers a lot of paper, squishies,  stickers, and miniature items.  She averages 5 - 8 items in each box.  Since I'm sure my daughter will like all of the items in this box, I will probably subscribe to it next month.

Kawaii Club International (based in the UK) is a subscription service by Keep It Secret and seems to be the most popular and longest running of the three subscriptions.  They have the most youtube unboxing videos and online reviews.  This box offers around 5 - 6 items each month and is the most expensive of the three.  A recurring one month subscription is $34.46 plus shipping and handling, which is approximately $5.  You also have the option of subscribing for 3 months and 6 months at a time.  The prices for these subscriptions include shipping fees.  A three month subscription is $98.22 (save $5.17) and a six month subscription is $189.54 (save $17.24).  You can check Kawaii Club out at http://www.kawaiiclub.co.uk 

Kawaii Monthly is the third Kawaii subscription box company I found.  This is the box we decided on, primarily because it sends a variety of objects, comes from Japan, and is the cheapest subscription at $18.99 a month/free shipping.  My daughter's first box ships in five days!  She really likes the fact that it includes a candy item and is sent from Japan.  The website, http://kawaiimonthly.com, says each box has 5 items that could be beauty products, charms, stationary, plush items, and other things they think would be enjoyed.

As soon as the Kawaii Monthly box arrives, we will review and post it.  Hopefully we will be reviewing SuperKawaiiPop's Kawaiibox too.  I really want to support them because they are a U.S. based company!  Plus, my daughter loves stationary, which seems to be their specialty.
