Kawaii Box Review June 2014

I have been posting reviews of my daughter's Kawaii Box from Super Kawaii Pop.  After a few emails with the owner, I was supposed to receive the June Kawaii Box to review.  The Kawaii Box was undergoing some changes this month because of new management and I was going to blog about them and post a coupon code.  Unfortunately, I never received the box.

I have sent a total of four emails to the owner, Krissy, and have NOT received any response.  I find this no way to operate a reputable business.  When I first started ordering this box, I knew I was taking a chance based on the Facebook comments.  There were so many negative comments, that the page was removed.

A response like, "I've changed my mind about the box review" would have been nice to get.  That way I would have known to go ahead and purchase it.

What are your thoughts about this?  Do you know of any subscription boxes similar to this?  I'm still debating whether or not to buy next month's box.

Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I would avoid Superkawaiipop at all costs. They have a history of not fulfilling orders and not responding to emails. I doubt things will change with Krissy "managing" it now as she was pulling the same thing when she was running kawaiipop.us a couple years ago. Also, while Emy was supposedly running it Krissy's LinkedIn was updated (last fall) to say she launched a successful monthly Kawaiibox as the owner of Superkawaiipop. She probably never really left and Emy was just a pawn (they're related).

    1. loved working with Emy! She is very sweet and a hard worker. I've yet to hear from Krissy. All I want is an email response. Communication is essential for a business to survive and remain reputable. I have read a lot of negative things about this company, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm looking at Kawaii Surprises and KawaiiBox.co right now. Do you know anything about them?

    2. oh, i whole heartedly agree. good customer service/communication is key. i'm sad to say, i was having huge issues with emy as well.

sorry, i haven't ventured further into online kawaii places. superkawaiipop has pretty much soured me on them. best of luck to you though!

i found your blog because of this post and unfortunate circumstances, but i'm glad i found it! i'll definitely check out the rest of your posts. :D

  2. Unfortunately I found this blog post under less than happy circumstances.

I had no problems with Emy. I'm just a few years older than her so we would write letters back and forth, send packages, etc. When she handed the business back to Krissy I lost contact with her.

About a month ago I decided to check the site again to see whats new and ended up ordering about $30 in plushies, squeeze toys, etc. The first week of july (I believe it was the third) I got a shipping conformation, but the package has not arrived yet. I sent Krissy an email explaining that part of the package was for my friends birthday last week , and asked if there was a way to get a tracking number. I also sent a message through the website itself and still had no response.

Im waiting it out right now, I've never had anything be lost in the mail before so I'm not sure how ill pursue the situation just yet. $30 won't seem like much to most people, but it makes a difference when Ive spent the rest of the month buying new books for college, etc.

Here's hoping we both get answers soon! I do know that she has been sick, I hope everything is alright. Im getting worried myself!

    1. i would strongly suggest contacting paypal, bkank, or your credit card issuer (depending on how you paid) as soon as possible and open a dispute. hopefully your package will show up (you can always close it if this happens) but opening up a dispute will help protect yourself in the likely case that it does not. i've seen several cases with this particular website that had to be resolve through a third party because they will not to respond to their customers. the period of time you have to open a dispute varies (it's very short for paypal) so i wouldn't wait too long. the amount of packages that have 'gone missing' in the mail from superkawaiipop is shocking. in a lot of cases it seems as though info has been submitted electronically in order to get tracking info but the packages aren't ever sent. good luck.

  3. Hey! I've seen in the past where items were never shipped from Super Kawaii Pop. Hopefully, your items will arrive soon. I've been contemplating contacting the Better Business Bureau though.

I would love to receive an email response from Krissy. I doubt it will happen though. So I will leave this post up as a "Buyer Beware" message.

    1. please do! since they deleted their facebook page which had a number of negative comments there hasn't been much to represent customers who have had negative experiences with them. i did however see one complaint on the bbb site, but that's about it.

    2. That's why I created this post. I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience with Super Kawaii Pop.

Hopefully more will share their experiences in the comments and warn others.

  4. I would also strongly agree to not subscribe or order from superkawaiipop. First off the box was bad. Very disorganized and didn't look like the ones in the reviews. I had done a three month subscription May, June, and July. The May box was not even themed, she just sent like 6 baking materials. I was expecting a verity of items like said in the videos. I am still waiting for my July box and here it is July 31, 2014. No email. Nor any replies to my emails. It is really aggravating. I am sure as hell not ordering from them again. Freaking took my money!!!

  5. I would also like to comment my experiences with Super Kawaii Pop. My daughter earned $20 by completing chores around the house and wanted to buy the Candy Kawaii Box from Super Kawaii Pop. We ordered it 8/15/2014 and I had not heard anything from them. I have sent 3 (!!!) emails without any response. I tried commenting on the blog, but she deletes them. I am appalled at this lack of customer service.

I'm currently on hold with my credit card company to dispute my charge. I'll also be contacting the BBB.

  6. Same as the above person. We ordered the montly service and I cancelled it before I could get charged a 3rd time with no product in sight. I cannot get a response to my repeated emails directly or through the website. I still have no received the Aug or Sept boxes! I am calling my credit card company today. Anyone else?

    2. Hi I also ordered from superkawaiipop on october 22 and now reading this is getting me nervous. It gave me my tracking number and said after 2 weeks which is in 2 or 3 days from now ill get updates on the shipping and when and where it is and coming. I hope the website doesnt shut down before my package comes because im going to start suing someone and getting angry. If we worked hard even just to pay 20 dollars for our package we need to get it now and by NOW I mean NOW.

    3. I really hope you get your order. I still have no product (the Aug and Sept Kawaii boxes) and still no response. They have not responded to the BBB Complaint either. As I type, I am on hold with my credit card company. The amount is not the point, whether it is $10 or $100 dollars, the fact is that money was taken.

    4. Thank you for your support on to getting my order and also i also emailed her on something different and i forgot what it said but in a youtube video in superkawaiipop's youtube it says that the new policy is that she will email back before 24 hours (in general to everyone) and i still havent gotten a reply. Today I completed 2 weeks so hopefully i will get updates on my order and where it is! I will reply back if I get it or at least an update. :/

    5. I ordered the October box on October 12th. Pre-shipment information was sent on the 22nd of October. It's now the 5th of November and the tracking on USPS says it is still in the pre-shipment phase. I have e-mailed her twice now (once from the contact thing on the superkawaiipop page and once from a new e-mail from scratch and sending it directly to the e-mail provided). I have not received any response on anything and I'm super pissed because I ordered the October and December box. If I would have known this I wouldn't have ordered the December box or ordered any of it to begin with. That's $40 she took out but I haven't received the first part of the order.

  7. If it stays saying pre shipment give it some time to come. I heard that if it says pre-shipment info sent will still stays there then just give the package some time about like a week and a half or 2 weeks and if it doesnt come then fill out a report. The update might never change probably, for my package the update doesnt change and it still hasnt come yet but im going to give it some time and if it doesnt come then fill out a report but make sure when you do that on the usps page click customer service and know or copy and paste your tracking number because you will need it for the report.
