Socialbliss Style Box Review March 2014

Socialbliss must have known that I've been looking for a new spring purse!  I just received my Style Box today and am thrilled with its contents!  The designer spotlight item is wonderful!

Socialbliss
This month's box is based on a quote from the impeccable Audrey Hepburn, "Paris is always a good idea."  All of the items have a Parisian flare to them!

SocialblissSocialbliss
This is the inside of the information insert.  Socialbliss does an excellent job spotlighting their chosen designer of the month.  I am so happy that Melissa Song was featured this month!  They also describe each product and give examples of how to use them.

Avon Basics Care Deeply Lip Balm
Avon Basics Care Deeply Lip Balm ($1) ~ This lip balm moisturizes with aloe and is infused with a  faint floral scent.  It goes on smoothly and is light-weight.  The title of this lip balm is also in French!

South of France Lemon Verbena French Milled Bar Soap
South of France Lemon Verbena French Milled Bar Soap ($1) ~ Take France with you on your travels with this travel-sized luxury bar soap.  This all-vegetable soap is made with coconut oil, palm oil, and organic shea butter.  The lemon scent is so fresh and revitalizing.  I'm taking this with me to Louisville this weekend!

Floral Headband ($14) ~ This is definitely on-trend.  I've seen so many headbands in magazines and in stores lately.  Floral print also seems to be quite popular right now.  This piece definitely celebrates spring and is very feminine.

Cala 5-Pc Brush Set
Cala 5-Pc Brush Set ($25) ~ These brushes are so soft!  They have bamboo handles and come in a natural cotton & hemp case.  The bristles are taklon, 100% cruelty free.  Inside the case is a powder brush, concealer brush, shading brush, angled eyebrow liner, and an eyelash/brow brush.

Melie Bianco "Mattie" Bag
Melie Bianco "Mattie" Bag ($80 - $95) ~ The creative genius behind Melie Bianco is designer, Melissa Song.  She has created a superb collection inspired by the windows in Paris.  Melissa and her husband founded Melie Bianco in 2003 with the goal of "affordable luxury".   The interior of this bag is wonderful.  The lining is just as eye-appealing as the bag itself.  There is a middle zippered section, two open storage pockets, 2 divided sections, and an interior side zipper.  I love a well organized purse!  Melie Bianco bags have been spotted on Lauren Conrad, Britney Spears, and Drew Barrymore.  My bag is a pretty shade of pink, but looks peach in the picture.

Socialbliss
The Socialbliss Style Box is one of my favorite monthly boxes!  My purse is already packed and ready for spring!  I can't wait to use the brushes tomorrow.  I wish Socialbliss would offer a 6 month subscription.  This box is too trendy and valuable to miss out on!

Kawaii Monthly Review March 2014

Kawaii Monthly comes from Japan and is a smaller box.  Every month there are five Kawaii themed items that range from stickers to beauty products.  It's $18.99 a month with free shipping.
Oyatsu Cafe

Oyatsu Cafe
Information Page ~ I love the explanations provided by Kawaii Monthly.  We have been unfamiliar with some of the products and needed more information than what was on the packaging.

Hello Kitty Marshmallow
Hello Kitty Marshmallow ~ This looks like a miniature Easter basket!  Inside is a package of jelly-filled marshmallows.  My daughter was surprised when she bit into the jelly.  Very unique!

Sakura Decoration ~ These are flower-shaped gel decorations.  The sakura flower is a Japanese symbol for spring.  We know them as cherry blossoms.  The sakura flower symbolizes a new beginning as the new season starts in April.

Sticky Notes ~ This sticky note set is perfect for marking pages or recording notes.  When used as a bookmark, the cute characters peek above the page.  These are great for sharing with friends!

Kawaii 3-D Stickers ~ Panda bears make the cutest decorations!  This sticker sheet is full of raised panda bear stickers.  There are also a few raccoon stickers.

Facial Soap Foaming Net
Facial Soap Foaming Net ~ This is my favorite item in the box.  I was a little confused as how to use it, but there are several YouTube videos that demonstrate its use.  It is Japanese belief that using your hands to wash your face causes friction and reduces your skin's elasticity.  The foaming net is designed to create a large amount of foam from your face wash.  This foam forms a barrier between your hands and face and eases the friction on your face.  The foam is also penetrates deeper in your pores for a deep cleansing effect.  You can purchase these through Amazon.

This is my second Kawaii Monthly box and I have loved the beauty products in them!  As long as they continue to send these unique beauty products, I will continue my subscription.  I've learned a few new things about face care and Japanese culture!  Plus, the Kawaii stuff is so cute!

Please comment if you know of any other Kawaai themed boxes or websites.  My daughter is really getting into Kawaii items.  She is 9 years old and looking for a pen pal.  Send me an email if interested in being a pen pal!

Gizmo Crate Review March 2014

I am lovin' this company!  Gizmo Crate has really come out of the gate strong!  This month's crate has four items that are either gizmos or artisan foods.  If you are still debating on whether to subscribe or not, this AWESOME box may sway you to buy.

Pacific Gold Original Beef Jerky
Pacific Gold Original Beef Jerky ($1.75) ~ Pacific Gold makes high quality beef jerky.  There are no added preservatives or artificial ingredients.  The jerky is made from top round steak.  This is the original flavor.  They are also known for their teriyaki beef jerky.

Popcornopolis Cheddar Cheese Popcorn Mini Cone
Popcornopolis Cheddar Cheese Popcorn Mini Cone ($1.50) ~ Popcornopolis creates one of America's favorite snacks, with a gourmet standard.  My popcorn has a zesty, robust cheddar cheese flavor.  The cones have a shelf life of six months, however, I doubt it will sit that long in my house.

ZSS Unplug Key RingZSS Unplug Key Ring
ZSS Unplug Key Ring ($19.48) ~ It's like Gizmo Crate knows me!  I have the tendency to lose my keys in our house.  I guess the solution to my problem is in the box.  I have never seen this, but it is so practical and functional!  The base sticks to the wall and you just plug your keys in when not in use.  It's a convenient and time-saving gizmo.

Street by 50 In-Ear Wired HeadphonesStreet by 50 In-Ear Wired Headphones
Street by 50 In-Ear Wired Headphones ($99.95) ~ OMG!!!!!!  I can't believe these were in the box.  I got the ghost white professionally tuned, ergonomic in-ear headphones.  They feature an Apple control mic, polished trim, and reinforced cables.  They have passive noise cancellation and gold plated connectors.  The headphones come with 6 silicon passive noise canceling tips, a carry case, and owner's manual.  I don't know how I'm going to keep these away from my daughter!

Gizmo Crate
The total value of this box is $122.68!  I paid $39 for it.  Since I have loved both boxes, I went ahead and purchased a 1-year subscription for $348 (save $120 with this option).  Then I applied a 5% coupon code, making my total $324.90 ($27.08/month).  Plus you pay nothing for shipping and handling.  Other subscription options are: $39/monthly; 3 months for $105 ($35/mo, save $12); 6 months for $194 ($32/mo, save $42); 12 months for $342 ($29/mo, save $120).

My Bakers Box Review April 2014

I received this complimentary box from My Bakers Box to review on my blog.  It was so bright and cheerful!  Spring is here and this box is packed with Easter and spring themed baking decorations!

This company sends fun baking supplies each month.  Items include cupcake supplies, cookie cutters, sugar dec ons, edible images, and more!  Boxes are shipped on the 1st of each month and customers receive an email notification with tracking.  Homeroom Moms need this box!  If you bake holiday treats for your child's class, this is a must-have!

In addition to the baking supplies, there are recipes and idea cards in the box.  You have three subscription options: 1 month for $25, 3 months for $22/mo, or 6 months for $19/mo.  Free shipping in the US is available for all three options.  They will also ship to Canada with additional shipping fees.  My Bakers Box accepts payment through Pay Pal.

Information Card ~ This card lists the items in the box, with pricing and a description.  You can also order more supplies from My Bakers Box.

Rabbit & Carrot Reversible Cupcake Wrappers ($6.95) ~ You get a set of 12 reversible cupcake wrappers.  One side features cute bunnies on a spring green background and the other side is decorated with carrots.  Perfect decor for an Easter dessert!

Assorted Easter Sugar Dec Ons ($5.95) ~ There are 12 adorable Easter dec-ons in this package.  Designs include carrots, rabbits, chicks, flowers, and Easter eggs.  These sugar dec ons would add that finishing touch to your Easter desserts!  They arrived in perfect condition - no breaks.

Egg-Shaped Cookie Cutter ($1.50) ~ This is a sturdy metal egg-shaped cookie cutter.  I'm already picturing some cute Easter sugar cookies!  If you "Google" egg shaped cookies, you will find even more ideas for this cookie cutter.  Use it on Rice Krispy Treats, to make bunnies, chicks in eggs, Santa faces, elf faces, mice, and even Spiderman's face!

Chick & Lamb Rings ($4.95) ~ Homeroom moms could make the cutest cupcakes with "spring rings"!  Having an Easter egg hunt?  Wouldn't these add a festive touch to treats after the hunt?  This package comes with 6 chicks and 6 lambs.

Celebration Sprinkle Mix ($3.50) ~ Packed in a 4oz plastic container, these sprinkles would add pizzaz to cookies and cupcakes.  I guess they could even be used on ice cream.  They really look festive and bright!

Lime Green Jimmies ($2.50) ~ These oblong sprinkles have a spring grass look.  They come packaged in a 4oz plastic jar.  These jimmies would look great on iced brownies, as well as cookies, cupcakes, and cakes!  This color also matches the cupcake wrappers.

My Bakers Box is so unique and fun!  The value of this box is $25.35.  Since the company offers free shipping, I think this is a good deal, especially if you choose the 6 month subscription option.  I can't wait to make Easter cupcakes and cookies.  I plan on taking them to my friend's Easter egg hunt.    For more baking ideas, make sure you check out their Facebook page.

iDiscoverBox Review March 2014

iDiscoverBox sends 3 cell phone accessories each month.  This is what I received for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3:  2 cases with kickstands and 1 USB wall charger plug-in.

USB Wall Charger Plug-In ~ This may come in handy at work.  iDiscoverBox also sends a cell phone use tip each month.  This is the same tip I got last month.

Black & White Silicone Case with Kickstand ~ I love cases with kickstands!  This case is heavy duty and really protects your phone.  It provides more protection on the front of the phone too!

Red & Black Plastic/Rubber Case with Kickstand ~ This case is very bold and eye-catching.  I haven't seen an off-centered kickstand, but it looks good.  I have a friend with the same model phone and I may give this one to him.  It looks a little too masculine for me.

I'm enjoying being able to switch out my cell phone cases.  Hopefully there will be a future shipment that includes a charging cable to go with the plug!  That would be ideal to have at work!  This is one of my smaller subscription boxes, but it is very affordable and practical.  If you have a smartphone, you need to subscribe to this company!

Bulu Box Weight Loss Review March 2014

This bright and bold box just arrived in the mail.  It's the Weight Loss Bulu Box.  There are six sample-sized and full-sized items in the box designed to aid in weight loss.

Great description card included with a "Sample Journal" on the back to track how you felt before and after each product.  Bulu Box also added coupons, an accomplishment card, and additional supplier information.  Reflection is very important for maintaining your health!

Mediterranean Snacks Tapaz 2 Go
Mediterranean Snacks Tapaz 2 Go ~ This is a single serve pouch of lentil crackers and hummus.  It is a gluten free, non GMO, portable mini-meal.  There are 250 calories and 7 grams of protein in this serving.  I had this for lunch yesterday and LOVED it!  I just ordered more of this!

Barlean's Omega Swirl Mango Peach
Barlean's Omega Swirl in Mango Peach ~ This is a delicious alternative to Omega-3 pills.  Omega-3 has been shown to support energy, heart health, and weight loss.  An added plus is healthy hair, skin, and nails.  This tastes really good.  I was a little skeptical because it is fish oil, but there is absolutely no fish taste.  I would prefer this over the pills.

Mestrength
Mestrength ~ Mestrength is a powder full of electrolytes and creatine.  You add it to a 16.9oz or 20ox water bottle, shake, and enjoy!  This is designed to help build muscle, which will help kick start your metabolism.  My packet is lemon lime flavored.  I think my husband will enjoy this!

Helps R&R Tea
Helps R&R Tea ~ Designed to encourage relaxation, this brew blends organic lemon balm and passion flower.  This is a natural way to take care of your body and promote better sleep, digestion, and sinus health.  I will try this tonight!

Body Glove Surge Energy Gel
Body Glove Surge Energy Gel ~ Maximize your workout with this energy gel.  This is an all-natural energy get designed to extend endurance and give you energy to burn calories and maximize your workout.  I received the chocolate flavored energy gel.  It has a bitter chocolate taste, but is very smooth and easy to consume.

Smarty Pants Weight Management Multi-Vitamins
Smarty Pants Weight Management ~ I can't believe this is a multi-vitamin that also supports weight loss!  They taste great and are so much easier to take than a "horse-pill" vitamin.  Not only is it a multi-vitamin, it has D3 and Omega-3.  I think these would be good for maintaining healthy weight too.  There is no added sugar, stimulants, preservatives, or dyes.

Bulu Box, Weight Loss contains a great variety of health samples.  The hummus was so good I ordered more from Bulu's website.  I may even purchase the Smarty Pants vitamins.  If you are interested in subscribing to one of the Bulu Boxes, make sure you search for coupon codes.  I received a year's subscription for only $55 with a code!  This is definitely worth the price!
