I got a free VoxBox in the mail this weekend! It's the Gillette Venus VoxBox from Influenster. Inside the box was an information card and 1 Gillette Venus Swirl razor with 2 blades.
It's been a while since I've used a Gillette Venus razor. I've been stuck on the Schick Hydro lately, but can definitely see myself switching back to the Venus since trying the Swirl!
I've only used traditionally designed razors. Today was the first time I tried Gillette's Flexiball element. I must say that it is very nice! #ChooseToSmooth
I'm ashamed to admit this, but I loved the packaging. I have never experienced such ease in opening a razor! Kudos to the person who designed this easy open package.
The razor blade: 5 Contour blades that individually react to your shaving area. This more precise contouring and flexibility create a very close shave. It also has a Moistureglide serum that is water activated and creates a smoother gliding motion. Below the blades is a microfine comb that guides hair to the blades. I also like the padding around the blades. It prevents that harsh razor feel on my skin.
The FLEXIBALL: The blade itself has great movement in it. The Flexiball adds more of a side-to-side/swivel movement that allows the razor to keep in contact with your skin as it goes over knees and ankles. These are the two spots where I get most of my cuts. No cuts today!
The Handle: Not only does the handle have a pretty design, it's a combination of rubber and plastic that allows for a secure grip. It's curved just below the Flexiball. This part of the handle lets your pointer finger rest comfortably in the perfect spot to guide your razor.
The Shave: My legs are smooth and hairless with hardly no repeat shaving. I sometimes have "patches" on my knees of missed shaving areas. I think the Flexiball eliminated that dilemma. I really liked how the Venus Swirl worked on my armpits. It's always been hard for me to get a close shave here. To me this is important during the summer because I wear so many sleeveless shirts. It worked great on my armpits - a very close shave!
Overall Thought: I think the combination of the Contour blades and Flexiball result in a closer shave and actually saves time shaving. This design allows the razor to reach more hair with less repeat sweeps of the skin. I #ChooseToSmooth!
