The Style Box Review June 2014

The Style Box by Socialbliss is one of my top two favorite subscription boxes.  Socialbliss keeps me well accessorized with today's trends and beauty products.  The Style Box is always carefully thought out and is one of the few companies that offers bonus items for their current customers.

Socialbliss
Boho Chic is the theme for this month's box.  The Style Box interpretation of this is a creative, open-minded thinker who lives a free spirited life and believes in style, freedom, and love.

The Creme Shop
Bonus Gift ~ I usually miss out on the bonus codes, so I was super happy when I got in on this one.  It seems like most subscription companies only offer deals or bonuses to new customers in an effort to gain more subscribers.  Socialbliss shows their appreciation for their current customers by offering codes to get bonus items.  I love this concept - it makes me want to continue my subscription.  This month's bonus item was a package of assorted cosmetic sponges from The Creme Shop.  Even nicer - the bag is resealable.

Peruvian Warrior Ring
The Peruvian Warrior Ring ~ Eek!  Awesome ring!  It's hand crafted from Peru with individually unique stones.  Subscribers got this ring in either onyx or cream.  I'm glad I got the black ring, because majority of my wardrobe is black!

Essie Snakeskin Magnetic Nail Color SSSSSexy
Magnetic Charm by Essie ~ Time to learn something new - how to get a snakeskin print with a magnet!  My polish color is SSSSSexy and is a wine tone.  The polish has iron in it for the magnet to work.  Make sure you shake the bottle vigorously because the iron settles on the bottom.  This will help ensure you get the snakeskin look.

Ulta Super Shiny Lip Gloss Whisper 16
Ulta Super Shiny Lip Gloss ~ This is sparkly gloss in the shade Whisper 16.  It's a very pale -neutral pink and would look great over a bright lip color.  This gloss has lasted longer on my lips than most of my other lip glosses.

#TheStyleBox
In...Retro-Specs Sunglasses ~ Chic and fabulous!  These sunglasses have such a classy look to them.  I just got some new sunglasses for the summer, but I definitely like these so much better.  They are also UV protected.

#FatedBliss
Fated Bliss Kimono Wrap ~ This wrap was designed by Fate exclusively for Socialbliss.  It can be worn a number of ways.  At first I thought it was a scarf, but it actually has arm holes so you can wear it as a vest.  It's very versatile and can be worn many different ways.  The kimono wrap makes use of this season's monochrome hues.  I can't wait to wear #FatedBliss this summer because it is very light and provides a little more coverage when you want it.

#TheStyleBox
The Style Box is a one-of-a-kind subscription service!  The company even sends emails asking for feedback.  I really love how Socialbliss listens to their subscribers.  They consistently send boxes of superb quality and branding.  This box is definitely worth every penny!

iDiscoverBox Review June 2014

Time to change my phone case!  Have you seen the studies on how dirty cell phones are?  If you don't take time to clean your phone on a frequent basis, you should at least change your phone case every month.  iDiscoverBox sends 3 cell phone accessories each month for as low as $9.99!

Not only do they send phone accessories, iDiscoverBox also sends phone tips.  The only thing is, I keep getting the same tip each month!  I'm sure when they start getting more business they will add more phone tips.

Purple Rubber Phone Shell ~ I love these phone shells!  They aren't as bulky as a case, making it easier to get my Note 3 in and out of my purse.  Two months ago I got a transparent purple shell and it protected my phone quite well.

Metallic Red Hard Plastic Case ~ This case is prettier in person than in the picture.  It's a snap on case and has a metallic sheen to it.  I like this color!

Pink & White Soft Rubber & Plastic Shell ~ This is my favorite case in the box!  The white part is the rubber shell and the pink body is a snap-on hard plastic cover.  I absolutely love this one!

I look forward to my iDiscoverBox and changing out my phone case.  I'm still hoping for an armband and a charging cable!

Let's check out the five Kawaii Monthly items from Oyatsu Cafe.  This box is $18.99 (free shipping) and comes from Chiba, Japan.
Monthly Subscription Boxes

Onigiri Shaper
Onigiri Shaper ~ We're more familiar with Onigiri as rice balls.  It's a popular quick meal that can be found in bento boxes.  You just fill these molds with sticky rice to make the onigiri.  You get cute rice balls shaped like a heart, star, and bear face!

Kawaii Cutlery Set
Cutlery Set ~ Last month my daughter got a bear-shaped bento box.  Now she has a matching cutlery set!  Inside this plastic case is a fork, spoon, and pair of chopsticks.  We are looking forward to some fun lunches next school year!

Japanese Gift Bag
Japanese Gift Bags ~ This is a set of 6 cellophane gift bags.  They are decorated with an assortment of desserts.  In Japan, the bags are primarily used to give sweets and small presents.  Enclosed are 6 twist-ties that have cute pom poms on each ends.

Pretty Rhythm Wristband
Pretty Rhythm Wristband ~ This wristband is from the anime & manga series Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live.  The design is from the fictional Dear Crown store that So Min loves to shop at.  There were also a few pieces of ramune candy inside.

Little Twin Stars Mesh Pouch
Little Twin Stars Mesh Pouch ~ This pouch is actually really big.  It unfolds to about 12" x 9".  It's a great storage bag.

I subscribed to Kawaii Monthly for my daughter.  She loves everything kawaii.  This box is curated by Oyatsu Cafe, which sells Japanese candy and snacks.  Isn't it the perfect box for a 9-year old girl?

Nerd Block Review June 2014

Nerd Block keeps getting better!  This month's box was wonderful!  We got so lucky because my son loved everything he got.

One reason Nerd Block keeps getting better - the addition of the information card.  This month's box pays homage to Summer Blockbusters from past and present.  I didn't realize it's been 30 years since Ghostbusters was released!

Mario Kart Racers ~ This racer celebrates the release of Mario Kart 8.  My son enjoys this game and I love Donkey Kong.  Cute item!

Minecraft Sticker ~ Jinx has teamed up with Nerd Block!  The card says that this is their first Minecraft item.  I hope they continue to send Minecraft stuff in future boxes.  This has made it to my son's computer.

Doctor Who Vinyl Figure ~ I get tickled when I think about my 6-year old liking Doctor Who, but he does.  He got the 8th doctor, portrayed by Paul McGann.  We might try to collect all of these.

Nerd Block Pin Art Game ~ We have a winner!  My son's favorite item is this Nerd Certified Product of the Month.  He's been playing with it all day.  Thanks Nerd Block!

Double Shirt Month ~ How awesome is double shirt month?!?!  Nerd Block did an excellent job with their movie choices.  Ryker loves both franchises.  The best thing about our boxes is that he always has unique shirts to wear to school.

Loot Crate Review June 2014

The June 2014 Loot Crates rolled out this week.  My son's "Transform" themed box arrived yesterday.  Just in time to get excited over the upcoming Transformers: Age of Extinction movie.

Subscription Boxes
Loot Crate Magazine, Issue 11 ~ It's back!  I love being able to physically hold these and read them.  Issue 11 is a little smaller (not as wide as previous issues), but who cares!  Now the magazine is both digital and in print.

Transformers Blind Box Series OneTransformers Blind Box Series One Bumblebee
Transformers Blind Box ~ Ryker got his favorite Transformer - Bumblebee!  This mini figure is about 3" tall and has several points of articulation.  It's sturdy and easily stands on its own.  He came with a stat card.  I didn't know Bumblebee was considered the physically weakest Autobot.  Michael Bay did an excellent job developing his character in the movies.

www.theloyalsubjects.com
Transformers Sticker ~ Even though the sticker screams Decepticon, we are #Looterbots!  Not sure where to put this bad boy.  Maybe it will find its way onto a school folder or notebook.

Warheads Extreme Sour Hard Candy
Warheads Exteme Sour Hard Candy ~ Ohh transforming candy!  These little rascals are crazy sour at first, but then transform to a sweet taste that is worth the pain and wait.

Marty McPrime Shirt
Marty McPrime Shirt ~ It's only fitting that one of the most famous cars in movie history have the chance to mash into one of the most famous Transformers created.  Hence, the creation of Marty McPrime!  This will be a fun shirt to wear on summer break.  My women's shirt is a little bigger this month - not as fitted.  I find it to be a nice change!

Subscription Boxes
Loot Crate never fails to excite our household.  This subscription is only $13.37 a month, plus shipping.  If you are interested in subscribing, you can use the code "Transform" to save 10% on any new subscription.

Loot Crate Review May 2014

So it's close to the end of June and I'm just posting May's Loot Crate.  I will catch up on my Loot Crate posts!  May's theme was "Adventure".  Who doesn't love an adventure??  Loot Crate tried to incorporate their subscribers' love for Minecraft, Adventure Time, and Zelda in this box.  Well played.

The Loot Crate Magazine (Issue 10) was digital this month.  I admit that I think I like having the hard copy better.  You should be able to click on the link to view it.

Markiplier Tats
Markiplier Tats ~ These temporary tattoos were inspired by YouTube sensation Markiplier and "The Wharfstache".  Markiplier has over 2.5 million subscribers who watch his gaming videos and comedy clips.

CaptainSparklez Stickers
CaptainSparklez Stickers ~ CaptainSparklez is an extremely popular YouTube channel where more than 7.5 million subscribers watch these gaming adventures.  This sticker art combines a lot of favorites and looks great on my son's computer!

Maker & Polaris
Curator Sticker Set ~ Loot Crate relied on the help of curators drafted from YouTube, Maker, and Polaris.  The curators included CaptainSparklez, Markiplier, LDShadowLady, JoshJepson, and TheJWittz.  These guys and gals know all about adventure!  Now Looters can show off their fav YouTube personalities.

Loot Crate Collectible Pin May 2014
Loot Crate Collectible Pin May 2014 ~ This month's collectible pin features swords from Adventure Time and Minecraft and a Zelda shield.

Dangerous to Go Alone Opener
Dangerous to Go Alone Opener ~ I love the stuff created by Loot Crate Labs!  How suitable for those adventurous college students.  It bears the Loot Crate logo and some pixelated designs.  I think I'll take this item from my son!

The Friend Zone Soundtrack
The Friend Zone Soundtrack ~ This is a CD of music from the show, The Friend Zone, on YouTube.  The show features a group of friends that discuss geek culture and video games.  Now, to find a CD player!

Minecraft Hangers
Minecraft Hanger ~ This was one of my son's favorite things in the box!  He is addicted to everything Minecraft.  He got Steve and added him to his backpack.  Now that school's over, Steve will be changing backpacks for next school year!

Funko Adventure Time Tin
Adventure Time Tin ~ I love Funko products!  They've added a twist to the Mystery Minis by packaging them in an awesome embossed tin!  My son got a BMO tin and Finn with a sword.  Love!

Zen Monkey Studios Describing the Legend
Describing the Legend T-Shirt ~ This shirt illustrates Link by using words that describe him as he adventured through The Legend of Zelda.  The design comes from Zen Monkey Studios.  You can purchase a similar shirt or print on their website.

Subscription Boxes
Loot Crate did an excellent job merging three powerhouses: Minecraft, The Legend of Zelda, and Adventure Time.  Now I must go and watch some YouTube vids!
