This is the Premium Japan Crate that's $30 a month, free shipping. It's over 2 pounds of candy, one drink, a DIY kit, and a bonus item.
I love this Manga-Zine! It's full of candy info, a comic story, DIY instructions, Japanese culture tidbits, and more. The May create has a "Carnival" theme. Sounds fun!
Bonus Item ~ Japan Crate is growing - literally! All subscribers are now receiving more candy in their crates. Everyone got this sour gummy rope. The flavors varied from cola, grape, or strawberry. We got grape. This item wasn't included in the Manga-Zine.
Big Mashuro ~ This big marshmallow is worthy of a king sized Hershey bar and a whole sheet of graham crackers! This was specific to the premium crate.
Mochitto Kinako Mochi ~ Here is the featured candy! It's a healthy, sweet rice cake made with soybean flour. The manga-zine includes a Japanese folklore story related to the candy.
Big Bar Z : White Choco ~ I would have liked this, but my daughter took everything in this box! This is a white chocolate wafer-like candy bar.
King's Lost Crown ~ This is a cookie shaped like a king's crown. Olivia wasn't too impressed with this.
Sour Cider Gum ~ Olivia didn't think this was very sour. It's one piece of gum (cider soda flavored) and she enjoyed it.
Sakusaku Panda Cookies ~ According to my 11 year old food critic, these were really good! It's a box of panda decorated cookies.
Puku Puku Taichoco ~ "Pukupuku" refers to the sound of fish gulping. This fish shaped wafer has a chocolate filling in the middle. Olivia really liked this one too.
Nomuccho Jelly ~ Included in every Original and Premium crate is a DIY kit. This month we got a melon-flavored do-it-yourself kit. It got very gooey the longer it sat. Liv said it tasted good.
Pandaro Cookies ~ More panda cookies!
Pachipachi Panic Cola ~ This is a fizzy candy that pops in your mouth.
Kajirittyo Cola Candy ~ Kajirittyo translates to "let's gnaw". This is a chewy rope candy that is cola flavored on the inside and cider flavored on the inside.
Nori Shio Potato Chips ~ These chips have a Japanese twist. They are flavored with a salted seaweed. Subscribers received either this or a French Salad flavored bag of chips.
Hachimitsu 100% ~ The Japanese word for honey is Hachimitsu. The package contains individually wrapped candies that are 100% honey. Neither my daughter or husband really liked these. Once again, I didn't get to try any.
Caramel Corn ~ Finally something I've tried before! I really like these! They're airy like Cheetos, but taste like caramel corn.
Hajikete Grape Cider ~ This month's drink was quite bubbly! It's a carbonated drink that doesn't have any artificial colors or sweeteners.
Kitty Cup ~ Premium crate subscribers got a cute cat gachapon. The cat looks a little sad to be stuck in a cup, but it's still adorable!
Check out the inside of the crate. It's now a reversible box that can be reused.
