Loot Crate Review December 2014

December's Loot Crate theme is "Anniversaries" and they are celebrating Tetris, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, and favored comic book creators.  Besides Loot Crate's creativeness, I really love their reliability and stability as a subscription business.  I've just been burned by two other subscription services who didn't have the business structure and partnerships Loot Crate does.

Loot Crate Magazine No. 17 ~ Great interviews with Stan Lee and Josh Mirman inside!

Captain America Air Freshener ~ This may seem like a small item, but it's so useful - especially when you have stinky kids!  Captain's vanilla scented shield will find a place of honor in my son's room.  In relation to the theme, Marvel is celebrating 75 years this month - long-term success smells sweet.

Exclusive Ghostbusters Door Hanger ~ The word 'Keymaster' on a door hanger is sheer genius!  It features the Ghostbusters on one side and Stay Puft on the other.  30 years ago we learned who to call, rotary phones and all.

Loot Crate Collectible Pin ~ It's hard to tell, but this month's pin is gold and white.  Simple design, but good use of anniversary colors.

Tetris Sticker Set ~ Imagine the building possibilities with these 147 Tetrimino stickers!  The set also includes a design booklet and patterns.  Thank you Alexey Pajitnov for 30 years of video game addiction.

Simpson's Cast Mighty Wallet ~ The Mighty Wallet is an awesome concept from Dynomighty.  It's made from Tyvek, which is super strong (no rips) and water-resistant.  The wallet is folded origami style, which provides a reinforced strength without stitching.  The image is crystal clear and dynamic in color!

Exclusive Dancing Groot Crew Socks ~ Every time I turn around, I see Deadpool socks (July LC) on my son's feet.  He's so excited to get another comic book themed pair of socks.  The design is exclusive to Looters and features Dancing Baby Groot.

Exclusive Batman Comic Book Issue 36 ~ Batman is 75 and continues to awe both adults and children alike.  The variant cover to Issue 36, Endgame, was created by Greg Capullo and is exclusive to Looters.

Exclusive The Joker Batman-Batman POP! Vinyl Figure ~ What a mash-up!  Batman tweaked his costume by trading in his classic black and grey for Joker's color palette.  He looks a little hypnotized.  What a rare treat to see a smile on Batman's face.  I love Loot Crate Exclusives!

I also need to mention the dual purpose shipping box.  Yes, it's a crate and holds awesome stuff.  But it also has a secret double life as the bat cave.  Most companies try to think outside the box, Loot Crate thinks on the box!  Ryker loves my $13.37 (plus shipping) monthly investment.  Your thoughts?
