Quarterly Co. GQ Box Review November 2014 #GQQ02

The Quarterly Co. box curated by GQ has exceeded expectations again!  This is a $100 box that is shipped every three months or so.  The value is over $120.

Quarterly Co. GQ Box
#GQQ02 equipped subscribers with essentials for upcoming holiday parties.  I liked GQ's concept for this box.  All of the items stuck to the coherent theme.

Hella BItter
Hella Bitter ~ ($9)  This company was founded in 2011 and received funding through their Kickstarter campaign.  They provide an all-natural, premium alternative to mass produced bitters.  Hella Bitter definitely belongs in a GQ box, because they know all about the classic cocktail.  I'm glad this citrus flavored gem made it to Kentucky - I'll make sure to add it to the bourbon.

Table Tiles from Areaware
Table Tiles from Areaware ~ ($15)  This is a set of 6 coasters designed by Bower Studios and available from Areaware.  They can be arranged to form a trivet when not being used as coasters.  The play on the black and beige colors create a unique 3D effect.

Red Bee Chunky Honey
Red Bee Chunky Honey ~ ($10)  Not only do we get superior honey, but we also get the honeycomb!  This is Red Bee's signature New England wildflower honey, which has notes of fruity and floral flavors.

LA Organic Olive Oil
LA Organic Olive Oil ~ ($14.89)  This is the smooth variety extra virgin olive oil which has notes of almond and peppery hints.  Did you know that packaging olive oil in cans is regarded as the best way to preserve the oil's freshness and color?

Brooklyn Slate Co.Cheese Board
Slate Cheese Board ~ ($29)  This cheese board hails from the Brooklyn Slate Co.  It comes with a soapstone chalk pencil so you can write the cheese names directly on the board.  I love this piece!  It's very primitive, yet elegant.

Sphere Ice Molds
Sphere Ice Molds ~ ($12.95)  The world is not flat and ice is not always cubed.  This is a set of sphere shaped ice molds.  The size and shape of the ice cools your drink evenly and melts slowly so your drink doesn't get watered down as fast.  The ice spheres look elegant in a lowball!

Knork Kitchen Knife
Knork Kitchen Knife ~ ($17.49)  This little beauty was missing from my box.  Whitney from Quarterly Co. was wonderful to work with.  She sent me a knife, no questions asked.  That's another reason why I love Quarterly Co.  The knife is from Knork and is made with German stainless steel and pakkawood.  This knife is gorgeous!

Quarterly Co. GQ Box
The #GQQ02 was absolutely awesome!  Sorry it took so long to post, but I had to wait on the knife and then my lighting was so poor, it took several tries to get the picture.  I hope Quarterly Co. continues its partnership with GQ, because these boxes have been wonderful!
